KickOff Solutions Scholarship Program

In June 2021, PSD International initiated a scholarship program, in collaboration with KickOff Solutions, to build young girls’ leadership skills and encourage their continued pursuit of sport. Benefactors of the scholarship program have been chosen from the cohorts of PSD’s Community Sports Program (CSP) in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. Six girls who showed leadership potential and an interest in utilizing sport in driving change within their communities were selected for the inaugural cohort of the scholarship.

In 2023, PSD extended its commitment by identifying and awarding scholarships to a new cohort of three young leaders, with continued support from Kickoff Solutions.

Female Youth Leaders Training

PSD International facilitated a training workshop in December 2019 in the North Indian state of Rajasthan for 23 female youth leaders, part of MJAS’ (Mahila Jan Adhikar Samiti) rural football programme. The training workshop focused on improving the facilitation skills of these youth leaders, particularly the technical skills and tactical concepts of football, in order to build their capacity to deliver programmes in their communities in rural Rajasthan. Since the training workshop, these youth leaders have been delivering football for development sessions to 110 girls in their own villages.
